Determining the new whitened shade |
. If sensitivity occurs (typically post treatment), aspirin, ibuprofen or other anti-inflammatory medication may be prescribed.
. Once the chairside treatment is complete, the teeth may continue to whiten over the next 24 hours. This is especially true of teeth with gray staining. The shade(s) of the teeth should be documented both at the conclusion of the contrastamT whitening treatment and again at a recall appointment, at 48 hours.
. The whitening effect can be further enhanced with take home treatment. The amount of follow-up whitening necessary should be determined at the recall appointment when the final shade from the contrastamT in-office treatment is realized.
